Well, we made it through the first week of school. Here are the kids on the first day...
Kain is really happy with his teacher he got this year. He is thinking she may be his favorite yet!
Gage seems pleased with his as well. Kain had him last year for math and came highly recommended.
Aubriel remains shy with her teacher but slowly seems to be warming up to him. She was bit surprised that he was a boy... one would think she would be use to those by now but he is extremely nice.
Our very unhealthy breakfast at McDonalds... it's kind of become tradition as much as it pains me to bring them.
Aubriel in her classroom. Every day this week she has said they have done a LOT in class but STILL have not painted. She has been waiting to use her watercolor paints since she bought them while school supply shopping.
Luckily for Dad we were able to pick Aubriel up early for this first week. He said what really sucked was dropping her off for the first time today... he has been making me do it. He is NOT handling it well at all. Of course the little social butterfly that she is it hasn't taken her long to make new friends... of course none of them are in her class and while we were waiting with her in the hall yesterday for her meeting with her teacher a few girls probably Kain's age walked by giving her high fives as they said hi. I kind of thought sending her to school would help her meet friends her own age but I think she is going to continue to enjoying hanging out with those much older and younger than her.
Brody was ready this morning to go out the door with the kids to school. And yes he would not be wearing any pants... that would probably be a first for the school, hopefully we can do something about that before he is ready to start school for real.
Ozzye of course is the only one that has the right idea of what one should be doing that early in the morning. Dave and I were so jealous... it is going to be a long year!

Dang....it seems like only 3 or 4 months ago you were posting Kain's and Gage's pics on the 1st day of school last year. Time flies. Aubriel looks so big and grown up. Keep meaning to tell you that Aubrey still talks about her! Guess she made a good impression. All the more reason to get together again!
