...and all through the house every creature was puking probably even a mouse. Okay not everyone in our family was puking only 3 of the 5 children, the other 2 have bad coughs and I have had more fevers in the last two weeks than I swear I have had in the first 30 years of my life! I think David is the only one that wasn't sick in some way shape or form over Christmas... well, expect for Christmas night very briefly... he was our saving grace for sure!
But all things considered I guess we had a pretty good Christmas. We were all well enough to make the journey up north to see the family Christmas Eve night.
Did you ever feel like you forgot one? Yep, I his own Mother forgot to find Brody when I rounded up all the kids for pictures the first time. We knew something about the first ones just went a little too smoothly...

The kids waiting at the top of the stairs Christmas morning. We are mean parents that make them wait upstairs until 8 am when they come running in our room to announce that it is time!
She looks thrilled doesn't she? This is the child that unlike Brody will get dress but still hates wearing undies.

And even though Dave spent his Christmas and 2 vacation days tending to his very sick family he still found time to take the kids out to play in the snow like he had promised. What a great Dad! Between him and my Mom I am not sure what we would have done these past couple of weeks.

I started feeling better on Wed. after my acupuncture session. And Thursday night my cousin came to stay with us... so of course the kids all had to take turns taking pictures with her... lucky Amber!
Then I got another fever Friday afternoon. Sat. I felt better which was a good thing since we had some family plans. It was Mother Night, the Eve before the Solstice, and we always burn our Yule Log. The kids got to start opening some gifts that night which they were of course SO excited about.

But then later that evening I got another fever! So our Solstice was pretty laid back since I spent all day Sunday recovering. Luckily we still had 10 days of Yule left. Now with Christmas upon us I am feeling like I am on the mend so we will see how we get through the next few days activities. David has some extra time off so that will be very appreciated by all of us for sure as we see this year come to a close!
