This was Kain on Sat. morning when he started Flag Football for the season. He takes Flag Football and Basketball through the Y and for some reason he always seems to get put on the purple team. But he is just happy to be back out there playing the game he has waited all year for. Dave and I sat down and asked him if he wanted to do this again or start pop-warner but he was not sure he was ready for tackle... this of course was back in Jan. when you have to sign up for pop-warner... now he is thinking he probably would have been ready. Kain knows the rules of the game inside and out (thanks Dad!) and is very competitive so the Y's approach to "just having fun" and "not keeping score" (or even following what he KNOWS to be the rules) isn't sitting too well with him. But he still loves it and is showing great improvement over last year so no doubt he will be ready for tackle football next fall!
